The new coupler is composed of a metal angled bulkhead mounting housing size 21.21, hosting an Ethernet Cat.5 female-female connector, with a transmission speed of 10-100 Mbps. The vertical and flat mounting allows a secure coupling with the male connector along the surface of the panel, avoiding any accidental torsion and reducing the overall dimensions.

If there is one area where applications are becoming ever-more complex, it’s safety engineering. EUCHNER has not only kept up with this trend with its Multifunctional Gate Box (MGB) safety door system, but has gone a step further by employing modular design to make the MGB2 Modular fully customisable for maximum optimisation. The modular system features a separate locking module, bus module and submodules, making it suitable for implementing a wide range of additional functions.

It is light, compact, and made entirely of plastic: the new PRM (Polymer Rotation Module) rotary igus energy supply system from Treotham. Specifically for tight rotational movements in cables and hoses, igus has now developed a system consisting of a polymer energy chain and a low-friction plastic guide trough. Users can increase the service life of their machines and systems with buying costs up to 73% less than those of a comparable steel guide trough. The new e-chain system expands the igus range of complete sets that can be ordered directly from Treotham Automation.

Treotham’s range of Wenglor inductive sensors with increased switching distances features enhanced performance in miniature design: A total of eight new sensors from the I03 and I04 series in the compact D3 and M4 housing for detecting metallic objects in confined systems. Practically no larger than a pin head, the robust sensors in V2A stainless steel housing demonstrate their strengths exactly where space is most limited.

Articulated arm robots can travel over six metres, quadrupling their working space: the 7th axis is now compatible with all lightweight articulated arm robots worldwide thanks to a simple Plug & Play kit. So far, models from Universal Robots, Epson and the igus robolink series from Treotham have benefited from this increased mobility. Now Omron, Franka Emika, Doosan, Yuanda Robotics and many other lightweight robotics suppliers are joining the list.

Microbiologically safe, residue-free cleaning, resistant to corrosion, a hygienic system design that is ideal for integration into open machine architecture – all of these attributes are united in the hygienic servo actuators in WITTENSTEIN alpha’s axenia value series available from Treotham. Developed for use in the sterile and wet areas of production and packaging machines, these motor/gearbox systems can be incorporated into open units without any additional protective measures.

Many stroke patients worldwide suffer from hemiplegia (partial paralysis). Exoskeletons such as Harmony from Harmonic Bionics can help rebuild the nerve tracts in arms and shoulders. In order to quickly adapt the robot supported system to different body sizes in physiotherapy, the developers rely on lightweight, lubrication-free and maintenance-free plain bearing technology from igus.

Automated weld seam tracking in robot welding cells is a complex task in a harsh industrial environment. The micrometer-accurate detection of the guide point with different types of joint by 2D/3D profile sensors is one of the most effective solutions for this challenge. In combination with wenglor’s uniVision software, the new weCat3D MLZL 2D/3D profile sensor from Treotham not only combines the necessary precision and profile quality, but also offers convenient installation, integration, robustness and user-friendliness.

The Wenglor INTT Inductive Sensors for Extreme Temperature ranges from Treotham detect metallic objects contactlessly at ambient temperatures of up to 250 °C. The new INTT series has two new features that make it even more flexible and robust. For dynamic applications in hot areas, system builders can now choose from flexible cables and simple push/pull connectors. The plug-in sensor heads are therefore easy to replace. The analysis module is also located directly in the M12 sensor plug. This innovative feature offers great added value for users who design or operate drying ovens for paint or surface coatings, for example.
