Next Generation of Photoelectronic Sensors makes industry smarter

Wenglor Sensoric has just introduced a new generation of photoelectronic sensors to the market - PNG//smart . In keeping with the motto “Making Industries Smarter”, intelligent sensors with five different functional principles are now available. Consistently equipped with IO-Link 1.1, the innovative sensors are the future of Industry 4.0.

Highlights of the PNG//smart series:
  • Condition monitoring permits predictive maintenance
  • Data storage, high-end variants
  • Balanced switching point and spot
  • No reciprocal influence
  • Highly insensitive to extraneous light
  • All laser sensors also in laser class 1
  • Diverse measuring tasks
  • wTeach2 software
The first group of the new product range is based on the 1K miniature design. All five functional principles (reflex sensor with or without background suppression, retro-reflex sensor with or without clear glass recognition and through-beam sensor) are available in one of the world’s smallest housing formats, with dimensions of just 32 x 16 x 12 mm.

Plastic bar stock for extreme applications
Dust, dirt, wind, weather and heavy loads are commonplace in agriculture and construction machinery. igus has now developed a bar stock for the production of special Tribo parts for such applications. iglidur Q2 has high wear resistance and compressive strength with extreme loads. It is particularly suitable for heavy-duty pivoting movements and is extremely resistant to impact loads. The material ensures long-term lubrication-free and maintenance-free operation of the machine.
