FastConnect cable reduces harnessing time by 46%

Save time-consuming stripping with the new igus chainflex Profinet cable for fast cable harnessing.

Profinet cables are often used in combination with an RJ45 connector in machine tools, packaging technology or in the field of handling. While many machine and plant operators already rely on ready-to-connect readychain energy chain systems, many users need cables from the drum which they adapt to the length and harness themselves. Here, the only thing that fits through is the cable but not the connector.

To quickly join the connector to the cable, igus has now developed FastConnect technology for its highly flexible chainflex Profinet cables. It ensures that the new CF898.061.FC can be stripped and fitted with a connector in just a few steps.

This allows assembly time to be reduced by 46%. At the same time, the new Profinet cable has a long service life, especially in dynamic use in the energy chain, and a guarantee of up to 36 months.

XP+ HIGH TORQUE planetary gearbox for "Xtreme" performance
The new XP+ HIGH TORQUE planetary gearbox in WITTENSTEIN alpha GmbH’s alpha Premium Line offers the highest torque density and torsional rigidity of any planetary gearbox currently available in the market. Several impressive enhancements underline this: up to 144% more torque density than the market’s second best planetary gearbox of this kind, double the torsional rigidity, two-and-a-half times better tilting moment capacity and 15% less overall length without any increase in size or 30% less overall length and 50% less weight with comparable performance. Read more
New ILME IP68 MGK 2AP25 terminal box with cover
Space, time-saving assembly and permanent durable protection in harsh environmental conditions are increasingly important key arguments for connectors. Points that become especially challenging to the railway sector, offshore applications or other environments, where the wiring of complex components requires a balance between reliability and performance. To meet these needs, we present the new ILME IP68 MGK 2AP25 terminal box with cover designed to host and simplify the wiring of two “21.21” inserts in a single housing. Read more
New triflex TRX energy supply system revolutionises 3D motion of robots
To ensure that cables on industrial robots can be guided in motion safely, easily and compactly, igus has now developed the four-dimensional triflex TRX energy chain. The new design study replaces classic robot hose packages and retraction systems. Special feature: 40% retraction length ensured by a unique telescopic mechanism inside the chain. This allows users to save space on the third axis of their robot, up to 83% weight and high costs for retraction systems. Read more
iglidur I151 tribo-filament for food technology
igus has developed a blue, food-compatible tribo-filament for cost-effective 3D printing of special parts. iglidur I151 is blue, prints easily, and has an optimal coefficient of friction and wear. The new tribo-filament is a refinement of the easy-to-machine igus iglidur I150 all-rounder filament. Because it is blue, it can be used to manufacture special parts that are optically detectable in the food industry. Food compatibility according to the FDA and to EU Regulation 10/2011 also qualifies the high-performance polymer for use in the food and cosmetics industries. Read more
